Pagerank and Backlinks Update from Google?

These few days while I was visiting blogs something has caught my attention : Big G’s little green bar has been increasing for some of the blogs, well for those who write paid post sorry but the bar will remain empty unless you promised not to write it anymore, more info can be found by googled the word “Pagerank Update 2008“.

The green bar has increased, so how about the traffic? Does anyone realized the change of SERP after Pagerank update? I guess this is just the first round of PR update, so for those who haven’t got their PR be patient & you will get what you deserved.

So… Mr G, can you please fill in the green bar for me? PLEASE~~~

Asia second blog advertising network, Advertlets (*Sorry, no link love from me*) have dissappeared! I only noticed it when I accidentally clicked on the ads one of a local blog. I have been redirected to this page:

*Find something interesting* That’s what written below their domain. WTH???

I checked it on who.is & found out that the domain name has expired. Maybe this is one of Josh Lim’s trick to get attention from his readers? Or they ended it because too many competitions ?

Digg, Google & Stumble Upon Are My Friends

It has been one & a half month since I started this blog & this afternoon I was digging around in the Google Analytics just to see my blog’s traffic and did some analysis of where my traffics come from. To my surprise I found out that most of my traffics come from Digg, Google & Stumble Upon.

Where’s the ‘Other’ traffic comes from?

As you can see both referring sites & search engines sent me a decent amount of traffics. Let’s have a more detail look of it…

I still remember the starting weeks where I sent all my posts to Digg, the results? One digg per post & that’s by myself. LOL! Perhaps one of my crap post made it to the front page? Maybe you guys are wondering how I get nearly 40% of my traffics from Google, well frankly speaking I do not have any idea, maybe my blog posts have a higher SERP in Google because I do not write any paid posts? Stumble Upon? I only have two friends at my account, so it must be either one of them who introduce my blog to their friends. Thanks aureliebl & ericajoieake!

Anyhow, thanks anyone out there who dugg my post & stumbling my blog, & last but not least, my readers — YOU !

My 2 cents: For those who have high PR & low traffic blogs but wish to earn money; It’s time now to build up some traffic as advertisers are able to track your blog’s visitor by injecting analytics code in your blog, it won’t be THAT easy to earn $$$ like last time where you just simply write a 150-200 words post & money will come in. Better move your lazy ass & start to build traffic now!

How long does it takes for you to write a post? For me if I have an idea of what to write, normally it would take 15-30minutes, however if I don’t have any idea 2hours depends on how long is my post, or else I just wait & wait until I got the inspiration… Sometimes it takes more time to think rather than write; Avoid writing boring posts, interact with readers through post, try not to criticize other blogs, etc… However if you have nothing to blog about you can always refer to my blog post regarding things to do when you have nothing to blog about, hope you can learn some great tips over there

Here’s a tip for those who couldn’t type fast: Open several conversation windows on MSN to chat with leng zai/leng lui, if you type slow, you won’t get your dream boy/girl, so you have no reason to type slow now

One thing that bothered me about this voting for scholarship issue is cheating is just too easy : Bloggers can just find their friends to vote for them. They won’t even care about what he/she writes on the blog, they just vote for their friend because they have been requested to do it. The money that belongs to the better blogger may have taken away just because the previous knows how to ask for votes.Ok, maybe I think too much ..(& I hope I am!)Oh well, just hope they will play the game fair & square
