Acer DX900 | Smartphone
After witnessing the success Apple iPhone has achieved, Acer has decided to launch its own smartphone – Acer DX900.
It was first emerged at the website of a UK based retailer Clove Technology, with the price range around 570 USD. The device looks a lot like the E-Ten Glofiish DX900 and has similar designs, looks as well as features that you have seen in the E-Ten, the only different you may find is brand name.
There are reports that Acer has been planning to introduce some high profile handsets at MWC in Barcelona. When it comes to specs, you would find the DX900 quite run of the mill sort of smartphone that is leaving room for something a lot more impressive that will soon be revealed on 16 February 2009.

2. Compass – not function even with wifi connection
3. when in devise lock, after awhile, when click on the saver button, it says “Closed” when click on “Closed” no response need to fiddle and touch every where until the “unlock” screen came out.
4. when insert 3g sim card in slot one, the phone hanged
5. battery goes flat within 5 hours
6. the gravity sensor doesnt work 70% of the time, u can put it upright, but the screen still side ways.
7. unable to customise ringtone to mp3 music
8. unable to increase the text of internet
How the hell this product pass your Quality Control?
My Dx900 has these issues.
unacceptable:
1. Wifi not detectable even there is wifi. (is it a software or hardware issue?)
2. text of internet too small and unadjustable.
tolerated:
3. gravity sensor not working as expected.
4. battery is an issue, i have uninstalled spb mobile shell and it helps a bit.
Acer DX900 sucks big time!!!!!
below are the issues faced by me:
1. battery life pathetically low
2. phone gets hanged 80% of the time
3. you cannot pick up the phone inspite of selecting the answering button???
4. While re-setting & realligning the screen… you have to re-allign it a million times??
Got it is the height of incompetence by Microsoft for its lousy windows and acer with its lousy hardware….
