Apple iPad Price In Malaysia

The highly anticipated electronic device – iPad has just been announced by Steve Jobs in Apple Media Event. Everyone has been talking about how good the device was before it released & I am now here to reveal it for ya’ all.
Features :
* Processor: 1GHz Apple A4
* Operating System: iPhone OS 3.2
* Storage: 16GB, 32GB or 64GB flash drive
* Size: 9.56 (H) x 7.47 (W) x 0.5 (D) inch
* Weight: 1.5 pounds (680 gram) for iPad WiFi, 1.6 pounds (730 gram) for iPad 3G
* Display: 1024×768 pixels
* Wireless connection: WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G (Additional payment needed)
* Battery: up to 10 hours of web surfing, video watching, music playback
* Input/Output: Dock connector, 3.5mm headphone jack, build-in speaker, microphone, SIM tray (iPad 3G only)
Homepage looks slick with iPhone app launcher but with Mac OSX dock. Size of keyboard has been increased, we can see Jobs is typing on the keyboard using fingers instead thumbs.
Fear not if you own an iPhone but am afraid to pay for the same apps again on iPad, you can simply sync it & your iPad will get the same apps as those on your iPhone. All apps will be resized automatically to fit your screen.
Games are running smoothly & ‘presumably HD’ as described by Gizmodo as Need For Speed & NOVA were demonstrated during the event, but for me the games look just the same as on iPhone, so it’s quite disappointing for a heavy gamer like me.
How About Apple iPad Price In Malaysia?
The iPad ships worldwide in 60 days, but only in Wi-Fi versions. The 3G version will be another 30 days after that. Here are the prices:
Without 3G:• $499: 16GB (RM1714)
• $599: 32GB (RM2057)
• $699: 64GB (RM2400)With 3G:
• $629: 16GB (RM2160)
• $729: 32GB (RM2500)
• $829: 64GB (RM2848)Apple will ship all the iPads in 60 days—the end of March—to America, and just the Wi-Fi models internationally. It’ll be another 30 days beyond that for 3G models to be available outside our shores; Apple says they’re still working on carrier deals.
iBookstore & iBooks are nowhere to be seen, so it is not available to international users (At least for now). Of course, after all these rants about iPad you know I am still going to get myself one of them
Will you get yourself an iPad?

The iPad is pretty impressive.
Looking forward to owning one once it’s available here
Yea I dont think anyone can resist the temptation
Finally! Someone who thinks that the iPad is awesome!
Gogogo Apple
The prices in Malaysia will be more expensive…
Yea I know just want to give them a rough idea how much it cost now in US, will update it once the official price are announced
I still prefer a PC or laptop.
Yea but iPad is definitely something that you would want to bring along with you since it is so light & small, especially for someone who travels a lot (me for example)
Did Apple ask you what *you* preferred?
I’ll not pay for it because I’m not the people who travels a lot and I’m just 15 years old boy =.=
Get an iPhone then, suits everyone regardless of ages
Are they forcing it down your throat? You’re not the target market anyway.
George, he’s only 15, give him a break
Sheesh George..speak no more or i’ll force a brick down your throat.
this is impressive..i would like to own one if i could!but anyway the price for 16gb without 3g is $499 in USD or RM?if it’s in USD so how much does it cost in ringgit malaysia?
The price is in USD, currently it’s only available to US citizens, so we might have to wait until further announcement by Apple
What the hell are you talking about? Non-US citizens cannot hold any USD?
What you mean to say is that it’s not released by Apple yet.
That’s what I was trying to tell Jeremy & I am sure he understand what I meant to say
who is this George anyway? annoying creature and sarcastic. if Edward wants an IPAD, than he’ll get an IPAD regardless Apple preferred or not. Apple sets and offer to public at large. So, Apple “preferred” him to buy.
i can understand Edward clearly. He meant Apple will not be released in Malaysia just yet. So, he wasn’t quite sure whats the price in RM since it’s only available in US using USD. Even if it can be calculated ourselves, the price will be different once it hits Malaysia, with tax etc. more expensive
And that boy is 15years old. Can be presume to act like that. so you George, BE NICE! as Edward. he gave charming answers. way cooler
You are now officially my favourite reader
Agree with Lady Gaga you George…
WOW thats was awesome. that’s gadget is really great hope can I have that one someday. thank you for sharing .
You definitely won’t regret with this decision
I am a new blogger can I exchange link with you..?
So ipad is basically oversized iphone?
Yep, you can say so
I thought iPod got a problem with its screen. I had two before and both got crack on the screen after about 3 months. I am thinking about getting the 3rd one. I would say it is a waste of money. I don’t know but that is my opinion about this gadget.
haha…finally i got some info regarding ipad…izit possible to get it in states n use it in msia? n buying wifi ipad is definitely not the choice…cant wait to have one either edward…how soon do u tink its gonna hit msia??coz ive to start saving…
btw sunduvan…ive been using apple for quite sometimes now…im still using the first edition of ipod video..n its in great term altho ive even spilll water on em…n the sound quality for ipods are awesome…u should definitely get ur 3rd ipod..mayb the latest ipod nano…
I have no idea how long it takes before Malaysians have the chance to purchase it but I hope to get it before June.
I have a feeling it gonna cost 3k plus when it hits Malaysia, so 4k is what you should save to get one 64GB iPad.
oh men ..ipad is so expensive
The iPad is a real disappointment. It has no camera, and therefore nothing to set it apart from an iPhone or an iPod Touch. It is huge, and you definitely can’t carry it in your pocket like the other two devices. It is also very expensive, as many astute readers of edwardkhoo.com have pointed out.
Apple has an excellent marketing strategy. They release a poor quality product like this, and then they release a great iPad 2nd Gen and also reduce the price. In this way, everyone who got cheated buying the first one will also buy a second one because it may be a little bit better.
Remember the Apple Newton? This is Apple Newton No.2.
*nod nod* That’s why I probably will wait until Apple release the later version of iPad
wow its is really awesome
can we just get a unit and use here? or we need to register with some kind of service provider as we do with Maxis for iPhone?
I guess we will need to register with a provider
oh bother!ive no idea searching the ipad and acident went through this page.i realize it is not out yet im desperately just need it ! i just watched an amazed the application BRUSH that i must experience so i could do for my portfolio . anyway im in training cartonist anime and part time beautician .talk bout price my penny just enough for a basic..

I realized that everyone is waiting for the release of Apple iPad in Malaysia! Our company 123RF.com is having a iPad giveaway campaign as well. You can browse through http://www.123rf.com/ipad/ for more information! Good luck!
this is so cool!
gotta have one soon!
im cannot waiting and patient for buying this Ipad..awesome!!!cool
The reason that I really interested about i pad is ibook . but I’m stay in Malaysia .
and in my opinion without ibook nobody get this .
I wont get it till become a globalize device with all function.
iPad is pretty expensive, I could get a Wii for this, or an Xbox. OR a PSP AND a DS.
As for me, I’ll wait 1st. Let all the hype slow down, get some notes from those who bought it then decide whether it’ll earn my moolah…
;D
iPad is nice, lighter and thinner. Easy to bring anywhere. But, it not cheaper. iPad price is good but my opinion, i rather buy macbook than iPad. I still love iPad (hate the price).
From what I know computer stuff in US is very cheap comparing with other countries. So I expect when will arrive iPod in Malaysia to be much more expensive…
